About the Artist

SALMA JADAVJI

Salma was born and raised in Pakistan.  She was always interested in arts and crafts but ended up in medical school and became a doctor in 1975.  She met her soul mate Dr. Taj Jadavji at medical school and got married and moved to Canada in 1976.  She has three children:  Aalia, Ali and Aamina.

In 1992, she discovered that she could paint and has never looked back since then.

Salma works for her husband and all her exhibitions proceeds go to different organizations such as the Alberta Children's Hospital Foundation, the Alberta Cancer Foundation, the Aga Khan Foundation and various others.

Mrs Jadavji lives in Calgary and besides painting, loves to volunteer for different organizations.  She has been an active leader within her community since 1990.
